The Armored Textiles N52H15HDR100N Jafline HD double jacket fire hose measures 1-1/2" in diameter and 100 ft in length, with a pressure rating of 400 PSI, and features a red exterior. This fire attack hose boasts a highly durable and lightweight design, featuring a polyurethane lining that complies with both the NFPA 1961 fire hose standard, 2013 edition, and the potable water standard NSF 61 for health effects. The jacket construction utilizes virgin spun polyester yarn for both the outer and inner jackets, making it lighter and more flexible than traditional cotton-synthetic hoses, allowing for more efficient storage. The outer jacket is impregnated with a polymer compound for enhanced resistance to chemicals, abrasion, and UV light, with a heat setting achieved at 275°F. The line features a thermoplastic single-ply extruded tube that is ozone-resistant, smooth, and free from pits or imperfections, using no reclaimed materials, with a liner thickness of .015 to .018 for hose diameters of 1", 1-1/2", and 1-3/4" and .022" to .025 for 2-1/2" hoses. The liner's Shore hardness is 40 ± 5 durometer on the "D" scale, while the tensile strength is not less than 3000 PSI with a minimum elongation of 400%. The adhesion between the liner and inner jacket is engineered to limit separation to no more than 1" per minute over ten minutes under a 15-pound weight. Lining specimens undergo accelerated aging tests at 158° ± 3.6° for 96 hours, in accordance with ASTM D 573 and ASTM D4112 standard test methods.
