The Armored Textiles N56H15FX450N JAFX4 is a 4-ply fire hose designed for demanding supply and attack operations, measuring 1-1/2" x 50 ft with a pressure rating of 330 psi. Its unique nitrile rubber construction provides critical resistance to petroleum, chemicals, and abrasion. The hose exceeds the NFPA 1961 fire hose standard, 2013 edition, and features a four-layer co-extrusion process that forms a single, homogenous extruded hose with a synthetic RLH cover, made from 100% high tenacity synthetic yarn. This material is circular woven and locked in by tough, resistant synthetic nitrile rubber, eliminating the need for glues or adhesives. The lining of the hose has a tensile strength of no less than 2500 psi and an ultimate elongation of not less than 500%. Adhesion between the liner and jacket is such that the separation rate of a 1.5" wide strip is limited to a maximum of 1" per minute under a weight of 12 pounds, tested over ten minutes. The hose also demonstrates resilience to aging, with specimens conditioned at 158°F ± 3.6°F for 96 hours meeting ASTM D 573 standards, and retaining at least 75% of their initial tensile and elongation properties during testing per ASTM D4112. The outer jacket exhibits superior abrasion resistance, capable of withstanding a minimum of 30,000 cycles on the Taber Abrasive test using a H-22 calibrade wheel and a 1,000 gram load on each wheel.
