BSC Preferred's™ Series Wet Environment Explosion Proof Duct Fans are specifically engineered for high moisture or contaminated airstreams, making them ideal for applications such as industrial parts washers for excess water vapor removal. These fans are also suitable for use in dry-off ovens, kilns, and low temperature furnaces up to 375°F when equipped with a high temperature package. The fans feature bearings located in a sealed watertight chamber, protected by a water slinger and shaft seal, and come with standard propellers made of cast aluminum, with options for carbon steel and stainless steel. Standard construction is rated for temperatures up to 225°F, while the high temperature package extends this capability to 375°F, with a fabricated steel propeller standard for operations above 275°F. The units can be constructed from 304 or 316 stainless steel, making them suitable for harsh or contaminated environments. An adjustable motor base ensures proper belt tension for maximum belt life, and the pulleys are made from rugged cast iron or turned steel. Motors are high-quality industrial grade, available in either single or three phase explosion proof configurations. Optional accessories include a belt guard, horizontal or vertical support brackets, combination motor cover/belt guard, inlet or outlet guards, companion flanges, inspection door, horizontal support legs, epoxy or urethane coatings, adjustable pitch motor pulley, and continuously welded flanges. These fans are OSHA compliant and designed to meet rigorous performance standards.
