The fluid level sight glasses GN 743 are constructed from genuine glass that offers high stability and scratch resistance. These sight glasses feature a sealing mechanism with an O-ring located on the periphery, ensuring that leak tightness is not compromised by axial pressures. The seal is strategically housed in a groove which prevents loss and minimizes the risk of extrusion during tightening, while its location allows for a softer elastomer that enhances sealing efficiency. Designed for use on pressurized oil tanks, the NBR seal boasts a maximum heat resistance of 100° C (212° F). For installation on wall thicknesses of less than 4 mm, the use of nut GN 543.1 is recommended. Additionally, sight glasses can be customized to include or exclude a reflector, depending on user preference.
