The fluid level sight glasses GN 743.5 are constructed from genuine glass, offering high stability and scratch-proof properties. They feature a sealing mechanism with an O-ring placed on the periphery rather than the face edge of the glass, ensuring that the leak tightness remains unaffected by axial pressures. The outside diameter is designed to match the mounting holes for tube fittings in accordance with DIN 3865, and the seal is securely housed in a groove, preventing loss and extrusion during tightening. This design allows for the use of a softer elastomer, which enhances sealing effectiveness. GN 743.5 sight glasses are suitable for use on pressurized oil tanks and applications with subpressure, with a maximum heat resistance of 180° C (356° F). For installation on walls less than 4mm in thickness, nut GN 543.1 should be utilized.
