The fluid level sight glasses GN 743 are made from genuine glass, known for its high stability and scratch resistance. They feature a sealing O-ring positioned on the periphery rather than the face edge of the glass, ensuring that leak tightness remains unaffected by axial pressures. This seal is securely housed in a groove, preventing it from being lost or extruded when the sight glass is tightened. The placement of the seal allows for the use of softer elastomers, which promote improved sealing performance. These sight glasses are suitable for use on pressurized oil tanks and come with an NBR seal that boasts a maximum heat resistance of 100° C (212° F). For mounting on walls that are less than 4 mm thick, the use of nut GN 543.1 is recommended. Additionally, the sight glasses can be ordered with or without a reflector, providing flexibility based on installation requirements.
