The GN 743.7 fluid level sight glasses feature a conical thread design that enables a metallic seal, ensuring a secure connection between the male and female threads. The male thread is designed to match the diameter of the female thread at the reference level "A," allowing for hand fastening, while tool tightening enhances the length of engagement for a robust seal. This design is complemented by the use of a sealant, such as fibrous material or Teflon tape, which remains stable due to the roughened surface of the thread that prevents shifting during the fastening process. These sight glasses are suitable for use on pressurized oil tanks and are temperature resistant up to 230°F (110°C).
