The fluid level sight glasses GN 743.1 are constructed from genuine glass that offers high stability and is scratch-proof, featuring a sealing system that utilizes an O-ring located on the periphery rather than on the face edge of the glass. This design ensures that the leak tightness remains unaffected by axial pressures, as the seal is securely housed in a groove that prevents loss and extruding during tightening. The positioning of the seal also accommodates a softer elastomer for improved sealing efficiency. Suitable for use on pressurized oil tanks, these sight glasses come equipped with a Viton seal, which has a maximum heat resistance of 180° C (356° F). For mounting on walls with a thickness of less than 4mm, nut GN 543.1 is recommended.
