The fluid level sight glasses GN 743.2 are constructed from genuine natural glass, offering high stability and scratch resistance. They feature a sealing O-ring positioned on the periphery, ensuring that leak tightness remains unaffected by axial pressures. The outside diameter is designed to align with mounting holes for tube fittings according to DIN 3865, and the seal is securely housed in a groove to prevent loss and extrusions during tightening, allowing for the use of a softer elastomer for improved sealing. These sight glasses are suitable for use on pressurized oil tanks and applications with subpressure, with a maximum heat resistance of 100° C (212° F). For installations on walls thinner than 4mm, nut GN 543.1 should be used.
