The fluid level sight glasses GN 743 are constructed from genuine glass that offers high stability and scratch resistance, featuring a sealing mechanism with an O-ring positioned on the periphery rather than the face edge, ensuring that leak tightness is maintained under axial pressures. The O-ring is secured within a groove to prevent loss and avoid extrusion during tightening, allowing the use of a softer elastomer to enhance sealing performance. These sight glasses are specifically designed for use on pressurized oil tanks and include an NBR seal with a maximum heat resistance of 100° C (212° F). For installation on walls less than 4 mm in thickness, the use of nut GN 543.1 is recommended. The sight glasses are available with options for a reflector or without one, providing flexibility in application.
