The Fluid Level Sight Glass GN 743.1 is constructed from genuine glass that offers high stability and scratch resistance, featuring a leak-tight O-ring seal housed in a groove along the periphery, ensuring that axial pressures do not compromise leak tightness. This design prevents the O-ring from being lost or extruded during installation, while also allowing the use of a softer elastomer for improved sealing efficiency. The sight glasses are suitable for installation on pressurized oil tanks, with a Viton seal that can withstand temperatures up to 180° C (356° F). For mounting on walls with a thickness of less than 4 mm, it is recommended to use nut GN 543.1.
