GN 744 fluid level sight glasses with prismatic reflector are designed to enhance the functionality and versatility of oil level sight glasses. The cats-eye prism effect provides a clear view of the oil color and viscosity, even in conditions of over-filling, under-filling, and poor lighting. These sight glasses are not suitable for applications requiring the viewing of alcohol levels and can also be utilized on pressurized tanks. The O-ring is integrated within the same aluminum body as the GN 743 oil level sight glasses, ensuring sealing is achieved around the periphery rather than the face edge of the glass, which maintains leak tightness against axial pressures. The seal is housed in a dedicated groove within the casing, preventing loss and extrusion during tightening, while enabling the use of a softer elastomer for improved sealing performance. The maximum heat resistance is 100°C (212°F). When installing fluid level sight glasses on walls less than 4mm (.157") thick, it is recommended to use mounting nut part series GN 543.1.
