Penco's heavy-duty pallet racks are engineered for efficient storage of palletized items, utilizing high-strength steel to achieve a superior strength-to-weight ratio. The essential components of these racks include upright frames and beams, both manufactured to exacting tolerances for dependable service at their rated loads. The slotted design allows for easy installation and adjustment on 3" centers, with safety lock tabs to prevent beam dislodging. Standard beam ends, made from extra heavy gauge steel, feature a three-prong connection to ensure positive beam-to-post alignment over an 8-1/2" length, promoting uniform load distribution. Additionally, tabs along the face of the beam provide extra protection during transit and installation. A recessed safety key, also made from heavy gauge steel, engages a slot in the post, resisting upward forces from material handling equipment up to 1,000 pounds; it is easy to engage without tools and clearly visible for safety checks. The step-down design of all beams accommodates accessories, available in two step sizes: 7/8" and 1-5/8" high. The heavy-duty beam end connector features a three-prong design for reliable alignment and support.
