Penco's heavy-duty pallet racks are engineered for efficient storage of palletized items, utilizing high-strength steel to achieve an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio suitable for a variety of storage applications. The primary components consist of upright frames and beams, both manufactured to stringent tolerances to ensure long-lasting service at their rated loads. The slotted design allows for easy installation and adjustment on 3" centers, while a safety lock tab prevents beam dislodgement. Standard beam ends, crafted from extra heavy gauge steel, feature a three-prong connection that guarantees positive beam-to-post alignment across an 8-1/2" length and uniform load distribution. Tabs along the beam face offer additional protection during transit and installation. A unique recessed safety key, made from heavy gauge steel, securely engages a slot in the side of the post, withstanding an upward force from material handling equipment of up to 1,000 pounds; this key forms an integral part of the beam assembly and can be engaged without tools, ensuring visibility for safety inspections. The step down design of all beams includes two step sizes: 7/8" and 1-5/8" high, allowing for the acceptance of various accessories.
