Penco's heavy-duty pallet racks are engineered for efficient storage of palletized items, utilizing high-strength steel to achieve a superior strength-to-weight ratio. The basic components consist of upright frames and beams, manufactured to precise tolerances for years of reliable service at their rated loads. The slotted design allows for easy installation and adjustment on 3" centers, complemented by a safety lock tab that prevents beam dislodging. Standard beam ends are constructed from extra heavy gauge steel and incorporate a three-prong connection, ensuring positive beam-to-post alignment over an 8-1/2" connection length and uniform load distribution. Tabs along the beam's face offer added protection during transit and installation. A recessed safety key made from heavy gauge steel engages a slot in the post to resist upward forces from material handling equipment up to 1,000 pounds. This safety key is easily engaged without tools and is prominently visible for safety checks. The step down design of all beams accommodates accessories with two step heights available: 7/8" and 1-5/8" high. The heavy-duty beam end connector features the same extra heavy gauge steel construction, providing robust support for various material handling applications.
