Penco's heavy-duty pallet racks are engineered for efficient storage of palletized items, utilizing high-strength steel to achieve a superior strength-to-weight ratio, suitable for various storage applications. The kit includes upright frames and beams manufactured to exacting tolerances for long-lasting performance at their rated loads. The slotted design allows for easy installation and adjustment on 3" centers, while the safety lock tab prevents beam dislodgment. Standard beam ends are constructed from extra heavy gauge steel, featuring a three-prong connection that ensures positive beam-to-post alignment along an 8-1/2" connector length, promoting uniform load distribution. Each beam is designed with tabs that extend along the face to protect the prongs during transit and installation. A unique recessed safety key made from heavy gauge steel engages a slot in the post and resists upward forces from material handling equipment up to 1,000 pounds, facilitating easy engagement without tools and ensuring visibility for safety checks. The step-down design includes beams with two step sizes available: 7/8" and 1-5/8" high, and the heavy-duty beam end connector further enhances the structural integrity of the assembly.
