Penco's heavy-duty pallet racks are engineered for efficient storage of palletized items, utilizing high-strength steel to achieve a superior strength-to-weight ratio. The kit includes upright frames and beams, each manufactured to exacting tolerances for dependable long-term service at their rated loads. The slotted design allows for easy installation and adjustment on 3-inch centers, while the safety lock tab prevents beam dislodging. Standard beam ends are constructed from extra heavy gauge steel, featuring a three-prong connection that ensures positive beam-to-post alignment and uniform load distribution along the 8-1/2" length of the connector. Tabs extend along the beam face for added protection during transit and installation. A unique recessed safety key, also made from heavy gauge steel, engages a slot in the post and can resist an upward force from material handling equipment of up to 1,000 pounds. This safety key is integral to the beam assembly, requires no tools for engagement, and is clearly visible for safety checks. Additionally, all beams include a step designed to accept accessories, with two step sizes available: 7/8" and 1-5/8" high. The heavy-duty beam end connectors provide reinforced strength, ensuring optimal functionality and safety in material handling operations.
