Penco's heavy-duty pallet racks are engineered for efficient storage of palletized items, constructed from high-strength steel to achieve a superior strength-to-weight ratio. The basic components include upright frames and beams, both manufactured to precise tolerances for long-lasting service at rated loads. The slotted design allows easy installation and adjustment on 3" centers, while safety lock tabs prevent beam dislodging. Standard beam ends, crafted from extra heavy gauge steel, have a three-prong connection for positive beam-to-post alignment along an 8-1/2" connector length, ensuring uniform load distribution. Tabs on the beam enhance prong protection during transit and installation. A recessed safety key, made from heavy gauge steel, engages a slot in the post and can resist an upward force from material handling equipment up to 1,000 pounds. Beam assemblies include a step-down design with two step sizes available: 7/8" and 1-5/8" high, accommodating various accessories. The beam locking key enhances safety by securing beams in place and is easy to engage without tools while remaining clearly visible for safety checks.
