Penco's heavy-duty pallet racks are engineered for efficient storage of palletized items, utilizing high-strength steel to provide a superior strength-to-weight ratio. The basic components consist of upright frames and beams, both manufactured to exacting tolerances for reliable service at their rated loads. The slotted design allows for easy installation and adjustment on 3" centers, while safety lock tabs prevent beam dislodgment. Standard beam ends are crafted from extra heavy gauge steel and feature a three-prong connection that ensures positive beam-to-post alignment along an 8-1/2" connector length, promoting uniform load distribution. Tabs extend along the beam face for additional protection during transit and installation. Each beam is equipped with a unique recessed safety key that engages a slot in the post, capable of resisting an upward force from material handling equipment up to 1,000 pounds. This safety key is integral to the beam assembly, easily engaged without tools, and visible for safety checks. The step-down design of all beams includes a step to accommodate accessories, with two step sizes available: 7/8" and 1-5/8" high.
