Penco's heavy-duty pallet racks are constructed from high-strength steel to achieve a superior strength-to-weight ratio, making them suitable for a variety of storage needs. The essential components include upright frames and beams, each manufactured with precise tolerances to ensure long-lasting performance at their rated loads. The slotted design facilitates easy installation and adjustment on 3" centers, complemented by safety lock tabs that prevent beam dislodgment. Standard beam ends are constructed from extra heavy gauge steel, featuring a three-prong connection that provides positive beam-to-post alignment along an 8-1/2" connector length while ensuring uniform load distribution. Additional protective tabs extend along the beam face to safeguard the prongs during transit and installation. A unique recessed safety key, also made from heavy gauge steel, engages a slot on the post and is capable of resisting an upward force from material handling equipment up to 1,000 pounds. The beams are designed with a step down feature to accommodate accessories, available in two step sizes: 7/8" and 1-5/8" high. The heavy-duty beam end connector further enhances safety and strength, providing a reliable storage solution for palletized items.
