Penco's heavy-duty pallet racks are engineered for efficient storage of palletized items, utilizing high-strength steel for a superior strength-to-weight ratio, capable of supporting various storage tasks. The essential components consist of upright frames and beams manufactured to precise tolerances, ensuring reliable service at rated loads. The slotted design allows for easy installation and adjustment on 3" centers, while safety lock tabs prevent beam dislodgment. Standard beam ends are made from extra heavy gauge steel with a three-prong connection for positive beam-to-post alignment over an 8-1/2" connector length and uniform load distribution. The design features tabs along the beam face for added protection during transit and installation. A recessed safety key, constructed from heavy gauge steel, engages a slot in the post, resisting upward forces from material handling equipment up to 1,000 pounds. This key is integral to the beam assembly, tool-free to engage, and easily visible for safety checks. The beams are designed with a step down to accept accessories, available in two step sizes: 7/8" and 1-5/8" high. Additional features include a heavy-duty beam end connector made from extra heavy gauge steel and a reliable three-prong connection.
