Caloritech™ FS Series finned strip heaters are designed as a versatile and economical heating source, commonly utilized in various applications such as surface heating (platens, dies, molds, tanks, piping), process air heating (drying cabinets, ovens, baking ovens, vacuum dehydrating ovens), dropping resistors for railroads and load banks, winterizing (hoppers, conveyors, ducts, car heating, thawing), and original equipment (air conditioning, laboratory equipment, food packaging, ovens, presses, drying equipment). Each heater features two offset bolt-type terminals at one end and can be controlled via a heating control panel, mechanical thermostat, or bi-metal thermostats mounted directly on the heater's surface. The design includes mounting holes for secure installation and options for special order lead wires to facilitate flexible installation tailored to specific configurations. The heaters are encased in an aluminized steel sheath, providing corrosion resistance and an attractive appearance, with a maximum sheath temperature of 1000°F (538°C). The fins, made of 0.022" (0.56 mm) thick cadmium-plated steel, are configured with a nominal four fins per inch to enhance heat dissipation.
