Caloritech™ SS series radiant strip heaters and component heaters feature offset terminals at one end and are suitable for a variety of applications, including surface heating, process air heating, dropping resistors for line applications, winterizing, and original equipment. The heaters come with two offset bolt-type terminals and can be easily managed with a heating control panel, mechanical thermostat, or bi-metal thermostats installed on the heater's surface. They include mounting holes for secure wall installation, allowing easy electrical connections via the terminal extending from the sheath. A special order option allows for lead wires to be supplied, enhancing installation flexibility for specific configurations. The heaters are designed with an aluminum steel sheath that provides corrosion resistance and an appealing appearance, suitable for applications where the maximum sheath temperature does not exceed 1000°F (538°C). For environments with higher temperatures, stainless steel heaters are recommended. The selection of wire insulation temperature rating depends on the operating temperature of the specific application.
