Caloritech™ SS series radiant strip heaters and component heaters feature offset terminals at one end, providing a versatile and economical heating source suitable for a range of applications such as surface heating (platens, dies, molds, tanks, piping), process air heating (drying cabinets, ovens, vacuum dehydrating ovens), dropping resistors for line applications, winterizing (hoppers, conveyors, ducts), and original equipment including air conditioning and food packaging. The SS series strip heaters incorporate two offset bolt-type terminals at one end, allowing for easy control using a heating control panel, mechanical thermostat, or bi-metal thermostats mounted on the heater's surface. The heaters are designed with mounting holes for secure installation and features lead wire options available upon special order to enhance installation flexibility. The heaters are encased in an aluminized steel sheath that offers corrosion resistance and aesthetic appeal, suitable for operating temperatures up to 1000°F (538°C); for higher temperatures, stainless steel variants are recommended.
