Caloritech™ SS Series radiant strip heaters and component heaters feature offset terminals at one end and serve as an economical heating source for various applications such as surface heating, process air heating, dropping resistors for line applications, winterizing, and original equipment in industries like air conditioning and food packaging. The heaters come with two offset bolt-type terminals and can be easily controlled using heating control panels, mechanical thermostats, or bi-metal thermostats mounted on the heater's surface. Each unit includes mounting holes for secure installation, while special order lead wires can extend from one end to facilitate adaptable temperature control. The heaters are encased in a stainless steel sheath, providing corrosion resistance and a sleek appearance, and can safely operate at maximum sheath temperatures of 1000°F (538°C). It is essential to specify the operating temperature to ensure the selection of wire with an appropriate insulation jacket temperature rating.
