Caloritech™ SS series radiant strip heaters and component heaters are designed with offset terminals at one end, providing a versatile and economical heating solution for a variety of applications such as surface heating for platens, dies, molds, tanks, and piping; process air heating for drying cabinets, ovens, baking ovens, and vacuum dehydrating ovens; and winterizing for hoppers, conveyors, ducts, and car heating. The SS series features two offset bolt-type terminals and can be efficiently controlled using a heating control panel, mechanical thermostat, or bi-metal thermostats that can be mounted directly on the heater surface. These heaters come with mounting holes for secure wall installation and an optional special order for lead wires extending from one end for flexible installation. The stainless steel sheath, which encases the entire heater assembly, provides both corrosion resistance and an appealing finish, suitable for maximum sheath temperatures not exceeding 1000°F (538°C). For applications requiring higher temperatures, stainless steel heaters are recommended. The selection of wire with a suitable temperature rating on the insulation jacket depends on the operating temperature, which is dictated by the specific application.
