Caloritech™ SS series radiant strip heaters and component heaters feature offset terminals at one end, providing a versatile and economical heating source for various applications such as surface heating (platens, dies, molds, tanks, piping), process air heating (drying cabinets, ovens, baking ovens, vacuum dehydrating ovens, moisture protection for motors), dropping resistors for line applications in railroads and load banks, winterizing (hoppers, conveyors, ducts, car heating, thawing), and original equipment (air conditioning, laboratory equipment, food packaging, ovens, presses, drying equipment). The heaters include two offset bolt-type terminals and can be easily controlled using a heating control panel, mechanical thermostat, or bi-metal thermostats. Mounting holes facilitate secure installation, with electrical connections accessible through an extending terminal from the sheath. Special requests can include lead wires extending from one end, enhancing installation flexibility. The strip heaters, encased in an aluminized steel sheath for corrosion resistance and aesthetics, can operate at maximum sheath temperatures of 1000°F (538°C).
