CaloriTech™ SS series radiant strip heaters and component heaters feature offset terminals at one end, offering a versatile and economical heating source suitable for various applications, such as surface heating, process air heating, dropping resistors for line applications, winterizing, and original equipment use. Each SS series strip heater is equipped with two offset bolt-type terminals to facilitate easy installation. These industrial heating products can be controlled using a heating control panel, mechanical thermostat, or bi-metal thermostats installed on the heater's surface. The design includes mounting holes for secure installation on wall housings, with a terminal extending from the sheath for straightforward electrical connections. Special orders can be made for lead wires that extend from one end of the heater, allowing for flexible installation and adaptability to specific configurations. The aluminum steel sheath encases the entire heater assembly, providing corrosion resistance and an aesthetically pleasing appearance, with a maximum sheath temperature not exceeding 1000°F (538°C). For applications that anticipate higher temperatures, stainless steel heaters are recommended.
