Caloritech™ SS Series radiant strip heaters and component heaters are designed with offset terminals at one end, providing a versatile and economical heating solution suitable for a variety of applications such as surface heating for platens, dies, molds, tanks, and piping; process air heating in drying cabinets, ovens, and vacuum dehydrating setups; as dropping resistors for line applications in railroads and load banks; and for winterizing purposes in hoppers, conveyors, and ducts. The SS Series features two offset bolt-type terminals for easy mounting and secure installation, with mounting holes ensuring stable positioning on wall housings. These heaters can be controlled using a heating control panel, mechanical thermostats, or bi-metal thermostats that can be installed directly on the heater. Special order options include extending lead wires from one end of the strip heater for flexible installation, accommodating specific configuration requirements. The aluminum steel sheath, under high pressure, provides both corrosion resistance and an aesthetically pleasing finish, suitable for applications with a maximum sheath temperature of 1000°F (538°C). For applications with higher temperature needs, stainless steel heaters are recommended. Warranty terms cover a specified duration, ensuring product reliability and performance.
