Caloritech™ SS series radiant strip heaters and component heaters feature two offset bolt-type terminals at one end and are designed for a variety of applications including surface heating of platens, dies, molds, tanks, and piping; process air heating for drying cabinets, ovens, and vacuum dehydrating ovens; as well as winterizing for hoppers and conveyors. These heaters can serve as dropping resistors in railroads and load banks, or function in original equipment like air conditioning and food packaging. The strip heaters can be easily controlled using a heating control panel, mechanical thermostat, or bi-metal thermostats installed on the heater's surface. They are equipped with mounting holes for secure wall installation, and optional lead wires can be supplied upon special request for flexible installation configurations. The stainless steel sheath encasing the heater provides corrosion resistance and an appealing look, suitable for applications where sheath temperatures do not exceed 1000°F (538°C).
