Caloritech™ SS series radiant strip heaters and component heaters feature offset terminals at one end and serve as a versatile and economical heating source suitable for various applications such as surface heating (including platens, dies, molds, tanks, and piping), process air heating (drying cabinets, ovens, baking ovens, vacuum dehydrating ovens, and moisture protection for motors), dropping resistors in railroads and load banks, winterizing (hoppers, conveyors, ducts, car heating, and thawing), and original equipment for air conditioning, laboratory equipment, food packaging, ovens, presses, and drying equipment. The SS series heaters come with two offset bolt-type terminals for easy electrical connections, and their design allows for control using a heating control panel, mechanical thermostat, or bi-metal thermostats which can be mounted on the heater's surface. For secure installation, mounting holes facilitate attachment to wall housings. Extended lead wires can be requested for added installation flexibility. The stainless steel sheath encasing the heaters provides corrosion resistance and an attractive finish while ensuring safe operation up to a maximum sheath temperature of 1000°F (538°C). For higher temperature applications, stainless steel heaters are recommended.
