Caloritech™ FS Series finned strip heaters, low-watt density, serve as a versatile and economical heating source suitable for various applications, including surface heating, process air heating, dropping resistors for line applications, winterizing, and original equipment. This series features two offset bolt-type terminals at one end for easy electrical connections and mounting holes for secure wall housing installation. The heaters can be effectively controlled using a heating control panel, mechanical thermostat, or bi-metal thermostats installed on the heater's surface. A special order option allows for lead wires to be extended from one end of the strip heater, enhancing installation flexibility. The heaters are encased in an aluminized steel sheath that provides corrosion resistance and an appealing appearance, suitable for applications where the maximum sheath temperature does not exceed 1000°F (538°C). The fins are made from 0.022" (0.56 mm) thick cadmium-plated steel, with a nominal configuration of four fins per inch, ensuring efficient heat distribution across the strip heater.
