Caloritech™ SS Series radiant strip heaters and component heaters feature offset terminals at one end and are designed as a versatile and economical heating source for a variety of applications, including surface heating (platens, dies, molds, tanks, piping), process air heating (drying cabinets, ovens, baking ovens, vacuum dehydrating ovens, moisture protection for motors), dropping resistors for line applications in railroads and load banks, and winterizing (hoppers, conveyors, ducts, car heating, thawing). These heaters have two offset bolt-type terminals and can be efficiently controlled through a heating control panel, mechanical thermostat, or bi-metal thermostats installed on the heater's surface. The units come with mounting holes for secure installation on wall housings, allowing easy electrical connections with a terminal extending from the sheath. Custom options include lead wires for flexible installation, tailored to specific temperature control configurations, with the wire's insulation jacket selected based on the anticipated operating temperature. The heaters are encased in an aluminized steel sheath, which is compressed under high pressure to offer both corrosion resistance and an attractive finish, suitable for applications with a maximum sheath temperature of 1000°F (538°C).
