Caloritech™ SS Series radiant strip heaters and component heaters, featuring offset terminals at one end, serve as a versatile and economical heating solution suitable for various applications, including surface heating (platens, dies, molds, tanks, piping), process air heating (drying cabinets, ovens, baking ovens, vacuum dehydrating ovens, moisture protection for motors), dropping resistors for line applications in railroads and load banks, winterizing (hoppers, conveyors, ducts, car heating, thawing), and original equipment (air conditioning, laboratory equipment, food packaging, ovens, presses, drying equipment). These heaters come with two offset bolt-type terminals at one end and are designed for easy control using a heating control panel, mechanical thermostat, or bi-metal thermostats installed on the heater's surface. The mounting holes facilitate secure installation on wall housings with a terminal extending for straightforward electrical connections. Special order options include lead wires designed to extend from one end of the strip heater for enhanced flexibility in installation, allowing temperature controllers to be easily adapted for specific configurations. The sheath material is stainless steel, providing corrosion resistance and an appealing appearance, with the entire heater assembly compressed under high pressure. These stainless steel strip heaters are rated for applications where the maximum sheath temperature does not exceed 1000°F (538°C). For applications requiring higher temperatures, stainless steel heaters are recommended.
