The Defender™ 5000 series floor scales are designed for advanced industrial and commercial weighing applications, providing high-quality construction that minimizes flexing under heavy loads for reliable performance over time. The kit includes a backlit liquid crystal display (LCD) with 256 x 80 pixels, an ABS plastic or 304 stainless steel indicator, a 5 mm (0.196 in.) fixed top plate, a black painted steel threaded platform, an IP65 stainless steel junction box with side access, alloy steel load cells, and two carbon steel eye bolts, with a painted steel ramp available. The indicator supports an internal power supply with power cord included, as well as an optional rechargeable battery sold separately. Communication options feature easy access ports including RS232 and a Micro SD slot included, with additional RS232/RS485/USB devices, Ethernet, WiFi/Bluetooth, discrete I/O, and analog output available as accessories. The software provides functionalities for counting, checkweighing, accumulation, display hold, dynamic weighing, filling, and percent weighing, and includes GLP/GMP data output with a real-time clock. The scales incorporate design features such as four load cell-mounted feet with a self-swiveling ball-in-cup design, and painted and stainless steel floor stands are available as accessories.
