The Defender™ 5000 series floor scales are designed for advanced industrial and commercial weighing applications, featuring high-quality construction to minimize flexing under heavy loads for reliable long-term performance. The kit includes an ABS plastic or 304 stainless steel indicator with a backlit liquid crystal display (256 x 80 pixels) and an internal power supply with a power cord; a rechargeable battery is available separately as an accessory. Communication options include standard RS232 and a micro SD slot, with additional ports for a second RS232/RS485/USB device, Ethernet, WiFi/Bluetooth, discrete I/O, and analog output available as accessories. The indicator supports software functionalities such as counting, checkweighing, accumulation, display hold, and other modes, compatible with GLP/GMP data output and a real-time clock. The scale features a 5 mm (0.196 in.) fixed top plate, a black painted steel threaded platform, an IP65 stainless steel junction box with side access, alloy steel load cells, and two carbon steel eye bolts.
