The Defender™ 5000 series floor scales are designed for advanced industrial and commercial weighing needs, featuring high-quality construction that minimizes flexing under heavy loads for reliable long-term performance. The indicator includes software supporting counting, checkweighing, accumulation, display hold, and additional modes, with a backlit liquid crystal display (LCD) of 256 x 80 pixels. Operation is powered internally by a power supply with included power cord or by a rechargeable battery available separately. Communication options include easy access ports such as RS232 and a micro SD slot (included), with additional support for a second RS232/RS485/USB device, Ethernet, WiFi/Bluetooth, discrete I/O, and analog output available as accessories, along with GLP/GMP data output managed by a real-time clock. The construction consists of an ABS plastic or 304 stainless steel indicator, a 5 mm (0.196 in.) fixed top plate, a black painted steel threaded platform, an IP65 stainless steel junction box with side access, alloy steel load cells, two carbon steel eye bolts, and an available painted steel ramp. Design features include four load cell mounted feet with a self-swiveling ball-in-cup design, with painted and stainless steel floor stands offered as accessories.
