The Edwards 878EX AC series features a corrosion-resistant heat flowed epoxy finish and is designed for use in hazardous locations with low current drain. This heavy-duty, high decibel vibrating horn signal includes two mounting brackets for wall mounting, and the housing is tapped on one side for 3/4" (19mm) conduit, facilitating field wiring installation. It is specifically suited for dusty hazardous atmospheres where a distinctive urgent signal is necessary for timing, scheduling, paging, and general alarm applications. Typical installations include mines, petroleum and gas plants, grain elevators, flour mills, paper mills, textile plants, and tankers.
