The Universal Adaptaplate is designed to mount directly on a surface or an electrical box, providing versatile installation options. It is weatherproof when used with the 449 back box. The kit includes gongs in sizes of 4", 6", 8", and 10", along with DC vibrating bells that generate a prolonged continuous ringing sound. The striker operates in rapid-fire action for as long as current is applied, ensuring effective signaling. The Universal Adaptaplate is compatible with single gang boxes measuring 3 1/4" (83mm), 3 1/2" (89mm), or 4" (102mm) octagon boxes, as well as any plaster cover featuring mounting holes on 2 3/4" (70mm) centers. Additionally, the 6" and 10" bells can also be mounted on 4" (102mm) square boxes. This DC vibrating bell is suitable for outdoor applications when mounted on the Cat. No. 449 weatherproof back box and is specified for timing scheduling and general alarm applications.
