The Universal Adaptaplate is designed for versatile mounting options, allowing installation directly on a surface or on an electrical box. It can be utilized outdoors when affixed to a Cat. No. 449 weatherproof back box. The system features 6" gong sizes that utilize DC vibrating bells to deliver a long continuous ringing sound, with the striker operating in rapid-fire action as long as current is applied. The Universal Adaptaplate is compatible with single gang box dimensions of 3 1/4" (83mm), 3 1/2" (89mm), or 4" (102mm) octagon boxes, as well as any plaster cover with mounting holes spaced 2 3/4" (70mm) apart. Additionally, both 6" and 10" bells can be mounted on 4" (102mm) square boxes. This DC vibrating bell configuration is specifically intended for timing scheduling and general alarm applications.
