The Edwards 888D and 889D series are diode polarized, heavy-duty, high decibel vibrating horn signals designed for use in hazardous locations that require electrical supervision of signaling circuit field wiring, including fire alarm systems, but may also be utilized for unsupervised signaling applications. This kit includes two mounting brackets for wall installation, with the housing tapped on one side for 3/4" (19 mm) conduit to facilitate field wiring. The units feature a red corrosion-resistant heat flowed epoxy finish and have a low current drain, making them suitable for dusty, hazardous atmospheres where a distinctive, urgent signal is necessary. Typical applications encompass mines, petroleum plants, gas plants, grain elevators, flour mills, paper mills, textile plants, and tankers.
