The product features a low current draw and supervised wiring, with terminals designed for easy installation. It is available in red or white flame-resistant housing, constructed from engineered thermoplastic that is UL flame rated 94V-0. This low current, high decibel notification appliance is intended for use in fire alarm applications and includes a horn that provides a self-synchronized, temporal signal in compliance with NFPA 72 standards. The unit is suitable for both wall and ceiling mounting in indoor or outdoor applications, with field-selectable output levels and sound patterns. It comes factory set for a temporal signal featuring a 74 dB output. For flush mounting, it requires a standard 4" (72mm) square box, while surface mounting can be done with Cat No. 2459-SMB-R (red) or 2459-SMB-W (white) surface mount boxes. For weatherproof mounting, the appropriate weatherproof surface boxes are Cat No. 2459-WPB-R (red) or 2459-WPB-W (white). This electronic horn serves as an audible signaling appliance for installations that work in conjunction with an installed fire alarm panel and detection devices.
