The kit includes a low current draw electronic horn designed for fire alarm applications, featuring supervised wiring and terminals for easy installation. It is available in red or white flame-resistant housing, made from engineered thermoplastic that meets UL flame rating 94V-0. This high-quality notification appliance produces a self-synchronized, temporal signal compliant with NFPA 72, suitable for both wall and ceiling mounting in indoor or outdoor settings. Field-selectable options for output level and sound pattern are available, with a factory-set temporal signal producing a 74 dB output. For optimal installation, the horn is designed for flush mounting using a standard 4" (72mm) square box, surface mounting with Cat No. 2459-SMB-R (red) or 2459-SMB-W (white) surface mount box, and weatherproof installations with weatherproof surface box Cat No. 2459-WPB-R (red) or 2459-WPB-W (white). The electronic horn serves as an audible signaling appliance that operates in conjunction with an installed fire alarm panel and detection devices.
