Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics high-performance tanks are designed with exacting CAD-based specifications and constructed from the highest quality virgin resins, making them suitable for general-purpose applications. These translucent open-top tanks feature molded-in graduations and are rated for use with media up to 1.8 specific gravity, while the inclusion of a fiberglass casing allows for a rating increase to 2.2 specific gravity. The fiberglass casings provide essential structural support, preventing bulging at the tank bottom, and are necessary when handling media with a specific gravity greater than 1.8 or in applications involving prolonged elevated temperatures. An optional factory-installed casing is available for separate purchase, and pricing can be obtained by inquiry.
