The Saint Gobain PP 55 gal. conical-bottom tank with cover features a diameter of 22 inches and a height of 44 inches, constructed with a 3/16 inch wall thickness in an off-white color. Designed by Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics, these high-performance tanks utilize exacting CAD-based designs and the highest quality virgin resins, making them some of the most durable options available for general purpose applications. The translucent tanks come with molded-in graduations for easy measurement. The conical-bottom design includes a 30-degree cone angle, allowing for complete drainage of solids and improved dispersal. Installation of welded or bulkhead fittings is straightforward, although a metal stand is required, with an 18-inch clearance from the floor to the bottom of the tank (12 inches for the 10-gallon model). This tank is specifically required for use with media that has a specific gravity greater than 1.8 or for applications involving prolonged elevated temperatures. An optional factory-installed casting is available for separate purchase and must be acquired along with the tank.
