The Proto® 1" drive impact socket is a 24 mm, 6-point socket with a length of 2-13/32". Designed for use on stubborn or damaged fasteners, as well as those made from soft materials, this socket features the TorquePlus™ design, which enhances socket engagement to the flats of fasteners rather than their corners. The TorquePlus™ configuration incorporates a radius-corner design that redirects contact area and stress away from the corners of the fastener, distributing stresses over a broader area to reduce slippage. This internal design minimizes fastener rounding, extends fastener life, and facilitates the turning of worn, rounded, or rusted fasteners. The socket is additionally stamped with the size for easy reference and includes a side locking hole for secure attachment.
