The Proto® 1/2" drive deep impact socket, measuring 22 mm and 3-1/2" long, features a robust 6-point design, making it ideal for tackling stubborn or damaged fasteners, as well as fasteners made from softer materials. Its TorquePlus™ design provides a high-performance drive configuration that facilitates quick and easy engagement with the flat surfaces of the fasteners, rather than the corners. This innovative configuration incorporates a radius-corner design that shifts the contact area and stress away from the corners of the fasteners, effectively distributing these stresses over a larger area of the socket to minimize slippage. Additionally, the internal TorquePlus™ design reduces the likelihood of rounding fasteners, extends their operational lifespan, and allows users to more easily turn worn, rounded, or rusted fasteners. For ease of identification, the socket size is stamped directly on the tool, and it also includes a side locking hole for secure application.
