The Proto® 3/8" drive deep impact socket 3/4" features a 6-point design that is specifically engineered for use on stubborn or damaged fasteners, as well as on fasteners made from soft materials. It incorporates the TorquePlus™ design, a high-performance drive configuration that allows for quick and easy socket engagement to the fastener flats rather than the corners. This configuration includes a radius-corner design that shifts the contact area and stress away from the fastener corners, thereby distributing contact stresses over a larger area of the socket and minimizing slippage. The internal design of TorquePlus™ also reduces the risk of fastener rounding, extends fastener life, and facilitates the turning of worn, rounded, or rusted fasteners. The socket size is stamped on the tool for easy identification, and it includes a side locking hole for added security during usage.
