The Proto® 1/2" drive impact socket measures 1-1/2" with a 6-point design and a length of 2-15/64". This socket is specifically engineered for use on stubborn or damaged fasteners, as well as those made from softer materials. It features the TorquePlus™ design, which provides a high-performance drive configuration that ensures quick and easy engagement with the fastener flats instead of the corners. The TorquePlus™ configuration incorporates a radius-corner design that shifts the contact area and stress away from the fastener corners, effectively distributing contact stresses over a broad area of the socket to minimize slippage. Additionally, the innovative internal design of TorquePlus™ reduces the rounding of fasteners, extends their lifespan, and facilitates the turning of worn, rounded, or rusted fasteners.
