The Proto® 1/2" drive deep impact socket, measuring 1-1/16" and designed with a 6-point configuration, has a length of 3-1/2". This socket is well-suited for use on stubborn or damaged fasteners, as well as on fasteners made from soft materials. It features the TorquePlus™ design, a high-performance drive configuration that allows for quick and easy engagement with the fastener flats instead of the corners. This design incorporates a radius-corner approach, which shifts the contact area and stress away from the fastener corners, distributing contact stresses over a larger area of the socket to minimize slippage. The TorquePlus™ internal design also reduces the risk of fastener rounding, extends the life of fasteners, and facilitates the turning of worn, rounded, or rusted fasteners. Each socket is stamped with its size for easy identification and includes a side locking hole for added functionality.
